For several years TecHelp has had a Diagnostic Hot Line to assist its student group when they encounter difficult problems. We have added Jeff Keeler to our staff and are now able to offer this Hot Line Assistance to any shop in the Bay Area.

*We have a unique twist which we feel will make the ultimate difference for YOU, If we cannot resolve your customers problem over the phone we will come to your shop and either assist your technician with diagnosis and repair, or diagnose and repair the vehicle for you.

Bay Area Diagnostic Hot Line

Scenario:

The technician has been working on this the car for an hour and a half for a no start.  There are 3 other cars waiting outside to be repaired.  You go out to see what the car needs.  You know that you have your best technician on the car but the tech has never run into this particular problem before and needs more information.  Sound familiar?

Solution:

For many years the TecHelp Hotline has increased profit for technicians and shop owners by steering technicians in the right direction before un-productive time is lost. Our philosophy is call before you lose time. We will spend the time on the phone providing your tech with a clear-cut approach and information to diagnose the problem. You don’t have to subscribe to extra information sources. Because we do.

Why call TecHelp instead of other phone support services?

We will spend up to 1 hour with your technician on the phone. If the problem is still not resolved we will come to your shop. We will work with or without your technician to diagnose or repair the problem. We guarantee proper diagnosis or repair or you don’t pay.  We will also apply the phone fee toward the cost of the visit.

Having the wisdom to bring in an expert to solve difficult problems lets your customer know they are at the right repair shop. We will be up front on your costs and advise on recommended charges to your customer. In Shop Service Calls

In shop service calls are not just used to repair cars for you. When we come out we can work with the technician so the next time they will have a fresh approach to solving problems.  We may spend shop time with your technicians many ways depending on your needs or weak areas. For those of you with techs in either our school or other training programs we may enhance their skills on the cars they are working on. Some examples are:

voltage drops - current ramping - pin checks - finding other vehicle needs

Many times our visits can improve inter-shop communication to improve profit margins and productivity. The key is that we are master technicians and former shop owners with excellent service writing skills.  We help your shop put it all together for maximum profit and productivity. These calls will pay for themselves immediately.

General Pricing

Phone Support:

First call $25 usually answers the technician’s problem or steers them in to the right direction.  If they are still having problems or are not sure of their test information, they can call for an additional fee.  The maximum phone support fee is $60 that includes up to one hour on the phone and faxed information.  Phone support solves the problem or leads the technician in the right direction 95% of the time.  If for some reason it does not, we will apply any phone fee towards the in shop service call.

In Shop Support:

If we make an in shop service call, our minimum fee is $250 + travel fee's.  We also have package deals.  We guarantee proper diagnosis and or repair.  Current students in our school still get free phone support and discounts for in shop help, Call for more information
